Grimhaven Rules Grimhaven is an online role-playing game in which thousands of players from all over the world meet everyday. In order to ensure that the game is fun for everyone, Grimhaven staff expects all players to behave in a reasonable and respectful manner. Grimhaven staff reserves the right to stop destructive behaviour in the game or in the official website. Such behaviour includes, but is not limited to, the following offences: We have several rules for the server, and the general rule is common sense, where discipline, common courtesy and mature gameplay are key principles for our server. We are aware that common sense can be interpreted subjectively, and where common sense is lacking, rules come into play. It is always the staff who have the interpretative authority when it comes to the server and what constitutes common sense; what the staff says applies regardless of personal opinions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Multiclient in Hunting, PVP, Dungeons and quests/events: You may not control more than one character at a time in PvP or when party hunting, either through the use of multiple computers or bots. Each character in the fight must be controlled by a unique player. This includes healing your characters, attacking, untrapping yourself, blocking pathways or any other way that changes the outcome of a fight. - Players are prohibited from creating follow-trains while using multi-client in hunting areas, as it disrupts the experience for others competing for experience. - Players are not allowed to control more than one character simultaneously while in a party hunt. You can control this by looking at the suspect (He/she is in a party with X members) and then report it to us. - Players are not allowed to control more than one character simultaneously in PvP, whether through your computer, multiple computers or bots. Each character engaged in a fight must be controlled by a unique player. This includes actions such as healing, untrapping, blocking pathways, feeding for red skull or any other activity influencing the fight’s outcome. - While players are allowed to play with multiple characters, bringing a second character to assist in killing or healing oneself is prohibited. - The use of multiclient software for participating in quests (including warzone), dungeons, events (including monster arena), bosses(addon bosses) is not allowed. This rule is in place to ensure fair play and an enjoyable experience for all our players and also for the longevity of the server. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Party-hunt botting rules: - Players are not allowed to use cavebot/targeting while party hunting, party hunting is a feature that is exclusive to manual players. Anyone that is caught using cavebot/targeting in a party will be banned. - Players may not use the follow feature on another playe and not actively participate in the party hunt. This ruins the purpose of the party hunt mechanism. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PVP Abuse: - Players are permitted to engage in wars between players or guilds, even without an invitation. - Blocking pathways, boats or entrances is allowed during PvP activities.. - Bringing more than one character to a fight for any reason is not allowed. - You can’t bring characters and repeatedly die just to give other players frags or red skull. - You can’t kill your own characters to manipulate experience or frag list. - You can’t repeatedly kill your own, or another character in an attempt to transfer experience between them. - You can’t suicide or rook your character. - If you see somebody suiciding and you kill them multiple times you will lose the experience that you gained from it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bug / Exploits Do not exploit bugs or abuse the unintended consequences of game mechanics. If you find a bug or exploit you must report it to Staff immediately. Using a bug to your advantage is a bannable offense. - You can be rewarded premium points for major bug reports - If you are caught using a bug to your advantage, you will be banned. - You aren’t allowed to purposely debug or crash clients. - You aren’t allowed to use monster names, NPC names and item names to try and abuse the system. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Griefing / Player Harassment Do not grief players, or act in a way solely and specifically intend to harass them. If a player is getting verbally harassed then you should use the ignore feature and move on. - Actions aimed at causing grief to other players, such as intentionally blocking NPCs, temples, spawns, depots and shops, are not allowed. - You can’t manually or with a script throw items on a depot box with the intention of making another player lose their items, nor can you trash tiles to make them unwalkable or the depot chest to grief others. - You can’t intentionally block off any spawns, NPC’s, temple, or shop using MC characters, creatures or unwalkable items. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Names - Do not use any names that are insulting, racist, sexually related, drug-related, harassing or generally objectionable - Do not use invalid name formats, names that contain badly formatted words or nonsensical combinations of letters. - Do not use names that include brands, products or services of third parties, content which is not related to the game. - Do not use names to try and promote/advertise other servers, you will be banned. - No religious names, political names and/or other general names that are not suited to have is not okay. - Disclosing personal data of other players in names is strictly prohibited. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Staff Impersonation / Threats Impersonating staff or claiming to know or have influence over staff in order to threaten or influence another player is not allowed. Faking messages or screenshots involving Staff members is against the rules. - You can’t tell people that staff members will give any kind of special treatment. Example: “GM is my cousin and he will ban you if you kill me” - You can’t make a fake message or screenshot and claim that it’s from a Staff member to get leverage over other players. - You can’t start rumors claiming a staff member told you something that is a lie. Example: “There will be a reset next week, a GM told me it” - You can’t threaten a staff for any reason, this include threatenings of DDoS/hacks, personal threats, chargeback threats. No threats is allowed or permitted in any shape of form. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Advertising Do not advertise for other servers or try to convince players to leave this server for another server. People are always free to play where they want, but we are not a billboard for competing servers. - Do not post IP addresses or websites to another tibia server, this will always lead to a permanent ban - You are always free to play on other servers but if you want to recruit a team, do it on the other server and not on Grimhaven. - Trying to convince other players to leave is punishable, this includes comparing servers to our server. New servers can always pay to promote their server on server lists but Grimhaven is not the place to do it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chat Channels - Players must use public chat channels as intended - Trade chats are for trade chat, and not for the help channel. - All languages are permitted in chat channels, misuse or spamming may result in a mute. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scamming / Stealing Items You are not allowed to scam or attempt to scam any player for items, money or accounts - If you are knowingly taking something of value from another player when they don’t want to give you it, then it’s considered stealing. Example: Stealing something from houses. - Tricking or manipulating players into giving you something is considered scamming. Example: Running a personal casino with a dice and not paying cashouts. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hacking / Unauthorized Access You are not allowed to engage in hacking or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any player's accounts, our systems, or private data. - Gaining access to another player's account, computer, or any of our digital systems without explicit permission is considered hacking. - Exploiting vulnerabilities or using malicious software to gain unauthorized access to accounts, networks, or data is strictly prohibited. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ There are many possible infractions not listed in the server rules; if it were otherwise it would be an infinitely long list. If a GM or Admin gives you a warning or tells you not to do something. Do not do it. If you think you’ve been unjustly treated, stop anyway and try to contact an admin. The Staff of this server reserve the right to ban for any reason not listed here and have the final decision on all banishments. If our Staff feel you’re hurting the server, community or website overall, we reserve the full right to remove you from our server. These rules are subject to change at any time. All changes will be announced and posted both in Discord and the Grimhaven Website, but our overarching and fundamental rule is common sense: speak as you would like to be spoken to, treat others how you want to be treated and lastly, conduct yourself as an adult.
