Grimhaven Rules
Grimhaven is an online role-playing game where hundreds of players meet every day. To ensure the game remains fun and fair, Grimhaven staff expects all players to behave in a reasonable and respectful manner.
Grimhaven staff reserves the right to stop destructive behavior in the game, on the discord server and on the official website.
- First Strike: 2-4 day banishment.
- Second Strike: 1-2 week banishment.
- Third Strike: Permanent banishment.
This is our primary enforcement method. However, depending on the severity of the violation, you might end up facing one of the harsher banishments (i.e., the latter strike types).
Offenses include, but are not limited to, the following:
You may not control more than one character at a time in PvP or during party hunts—whether using multiple computers or bots. Each character must be controlled by a unique player. This includes actions such as healing, attacking, untrapping, or blocking pathways.
- Players are prohibited from creating follow-trains in hunting areas, as it disrupts others’ experiences.
- Controlling more than one character in a party hunt is not allowed. Report any suspicious behavior.
- Using more than one character in PvP (e.g., healing or blocking) is forbidden.
- While playing with multiple characters is permitted, using an extra character to assist in combat is prohibited.
- Multiclient software for quests, dungeons, events (including monster arena), or bosses (addon bosses) is not allowed.
- Using cavebot/targeting during party hunts is not allowed; party hunting is reserved for manual players only.
- Using ways to the auto-follow without active participation in the party hunt is prohibited.
- Players may engage in wars between players or guilds even without an invitation.
- Blocking pathways, boats, or entrances during PvP is allowed.
- Bringing more than one character to a fight is not allowed.
- Intentionally dying to give others frags or red skull is prohibited.
- Manipulating experience or the frag list by killing your own characters is not permitted.
- Repeatedly killing your own or another character to transfer experience is forbidden.
- Suiciding or “rooking” your character is not allowed.
- If you repeatedly kill a player who is suiciding, you will lose the experience gained from it.
Do not exploit bugs or abuse unintended game mechanics. Report any bugs or exploits to Staff immediately. Using a bug for advantage is a bannable offense.
- Major bug reports may be rewarded with premium points.
- Exploiting a bug will result in a ban.
- Purposely debugging or crashing clients is not allowed.
- Using monster, NPC, or item names to exploit the system is forbidden.
Do not grief or harass players. If you encounter harassment, use the ignore feature and move on.
- Intentionally blocking NPCs, temples, spawns, depots, or shops is not allowed.
- Throwing items on depot boxes or trashing tiles to grief others is prohibited.
- Using multiple characters, creatures, or unwalkable items to block spawns or shops is forbidden.
- Do not use names that are insulting, racist, sexually related, drug-related, harassing, or generally objectionable.
- Invalid name formats or nonsensical letter combinations are not allowed.
- Names that include brands, products, or unrelated content are prohibited.
- Using names to promote or advertise other servers will result in a ban.
- Religious, political, or otherwise inappropriate names are not permitted.
- Disclosing personal data of other players in names is strictly prohibited.
Impersonating staff or claiming influence over staff to threaten or manipulate players is forbidden. Faking messages or screenshots is against the rules.
- Do not claim that staff will provide special treatment.
- Creating fake messages or screenshots for leverage is prohibited.
- Starting false rumors about staff instructions is not allowed.
- Threats—including DDoS/hacks, personal threats, or chargeback threats—are strictly forbidden.
Do not advertise for other servers or try to convince players to leave this server. While you are free to play elsewhere, our server is not a platform for promoting competitors.
- Posting IP addresses or websites of other servers will lead to a permanent ban.
- If you wish to recruit a team, do so on the other server—not on Grimhaven.
- Comparing servers or convincing others to leave is punishable.
- Racist and inconvenient comments about any culture or religion, making fun of other countries on public chats is inappropiate.
- Spamming, flooding, or using excessive caps in public chat channels is not allowed.
- Players must use public chat channels as intended.
- Trade chats are strictly for trade discussions, not for seeking help.
You are not allowed to scam or attempt to scam any player for items, money, or accounts.
- Knowingly taking something of value from another player without permission is considered stealing (e.g., stealing from houses).
- Tricking or manipulating players into giving up items is regarded as scamming.
- Engaging in hacking or attempting unauthorized access to any player's accounts, our systems, or private data is forbidden.
- Gaining access to another player's account or computer without explicit permission is considered hacking.
- Exploiting vulnerabilities or using malicious software to gain access is strictly prohibited.
There are many possible infractions not listed in these rules; if a GM or Admin warns you or instructs you not to do something, do not do it. If you believe you’ve been unjustly treated, stop and contact an admin.
The Staff reserve the right to ban for any reason not listed here and have the final decision on all bans. If our Staff feel you’re harming the server, community, or website overall, we reserve the right to remove you from the server.
These rules are subject to change at any time. All changes will be announced on Discord and on the Grimhaven Website. Our fundamental rule remains: speak as you would like to be spoken to, treat others as you wish to be treated, and conduct yourself as an adult.
